Because we understand that the sentimental value of your collector car can mean just as much as the car itself.

This matters most when a vehicle carries deep personal value that no insurance check can fully replace. For many collector car owners, their vehicle isn't just a financial investment, it's a connection to a memory, a person, or a chapter of their life. Without this endorsement, a total loss means losing the car entirely. With it, you receive the full agreed value payout and keep the vehicle, preserving the opportunity to restore it and hold onto what made it special in the first place.

Restoring a collector car is a journey, and your coverage should keep pace with every milestone along the way. The moment you begin a restoration, you've made a significant investment that deserves protection, and not just when the work is done, but throughout the entire process. That's where the OpenRoad Vehicle Under Construction endorsement comes in. As your restoration progresses and your vehicle's value grows, your agreed value automatically increases by 10% every three months, ensuring you're never underinsured for the progress you've made.

In the case of a total loss, OpenRoad will pay the agreed value mentioned in your policy. This value increases by 10% every three months but won't exceed $25,000 above the initial agreed value during the policy period.

Our Vehicle Under Construction endorsement also provides additional protection for specialized automotive tools, covering an $1,000 for loss or damage with a $25 deductible. This is in addition to the $1,000 of Tools & Spare Parts coverage included in every base policy. As always, review your specific policy documents for more details.
